The construction industry was changing and Dumitru Negrea recognised an opportunity to form an independent company which specialises in providing complete envelope installation services to the highest level of quality, safety and attention to detail. This was in 2006 after working his way up from construction site operative back in 1999. He worked with a number of small/medium sized construction companies learning the ropes and proving himself eager to learn and progress through the ranks. The 3 years prior to establishing Ellite Cladding he was employed by Schmidlin UK and completed work on T5 buildings A and B as well as the air traffic control tower.
Dumitru always knew that he wanted to work for himself and it was the summer of 2006 when Schmidlin UK were making a lot of their staff redundant that he decided to take the plunge and expand his horizons. He utilised his network of contacts that he had amassed over the previous 7 years and put himself forward to any jobs they had. He used his experience and general knowledge of the industry to sell himself to get his foot in the door. A month later after completing many supplier application forms he received a call back and was given a 3 month job for himself and 5 guys. Not long after, he received another call, this time for about 20 guys and the rest we say is history.
Apart from dealing with the day to day running of all the sites, he also takes on active high level roles in some of the projects Ellite Cladding is working on. He has a current full air side pass and has technical qualifications in CPCS, SMSTS, Slinger Signaller, 360 Roto, Telescopic Forklift, Scissor Lift, Cherry Picker, PASMA Mobile Towers and Vacuum Lifting.
Kim has been supporting Dumitru by running the Ellite Cladding office since the company started back in 2006. Kim is responsible for all the day to day office admin, payroll, invoicing and banking, accounts receivable and payable. She has a background in IT, and prior to moving on to raise her family and run the Ellite Cladding office, she worked as an Analyst Programmer.
Site Based Administration
Sorin joined Ellite Cladding in November 2010. He was recruited from Romania where he was performing the administration role of a 4 start hotel.
Sorin’s daily activities involve creating and issuing purchase orders, providing supplies by identifying needs, negotiating prices, ensuring quality and delivery. Resource management tasks such as scheduling meetings, booking meeting rooms, analysing the attendance and regularity of operatives, overseeing the recruitment of new staff, including training and induction. Office tasks including managing filing systems, taking charge of all Airbuild/Juggler/Visitor Bookings, deliveries, collections, emergency breakdowns and site visitors, monitoring job results and issuing weekly allocation sheet, record keeping of all Plant & Equipment on site as well as coordinating temporary works on site.
All in all, Sorin’s works encompass all on site administration requirements.
Site Supervisor & Crane Supervisor

Luigi is one of a number of people that have been working with Ellite Cladding since the early days. He joined in July 2007 and in that time has worked his way up from Team Leader to Supervisor and is a nearly appointed Site Manager. He has a current full air side pass and has qualifications in CPCS, SMSTS, Lifting Supervisor, Slinger Signaller and he is also a First Aider. He is currently working on the Heathrow T2a project Installing the Fabric Membrane.
Prepare site prior to the commencement of construction work, liaising with management and reporting progress, supervising staff, making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety, checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings, maintaining quality control procedures and problem solving. He also attends the Daily Site Activity Meeting, Logistic Meeting and Lifting Team Meeting.
Luigi is a native Italian so has been able to help out whilst dealing with some of the manufacturing companies who have been based in Italy.
Bladimir has over 6 years’ experience as an ‘Safety Health Environmental and Fire Manager’, working predominantly within the Construction Industry. Bladimir has a background in Teaching and Facilities Management which have prepared him well when it comes to dealing with contractors and with the supply chain in general. Bladimir has worked for a wide range of clients of the likes of United Living, Durkan, Skanska, BAM, Carillion, Saint George and Saint Catherine within the Berkely Group.
Bladimir work has taken him all over the UK but over the past 4 years, he has been based in the London region, overseeing multi-million pound jobs in the residential, commercial, retail, educational and hospital sectors and most recently in the Façade Glass and Fabric Ceilings with Ellite Cladding. With a CPD record and currently holds a C&G NVQ L5 in OHS and three NEBOSH national certificates in OHS, Environmental and Fire. Bladimir is due for peer review towards Chartered Membership of IOSH.

Daniel is a qualified Engineering Surveyor with 12 years experience in the UK and overseas. He has considerable experience in both surveying and setting out of the following: earthworks, steel structures, as well as precise levelling and structure monitoring.
Site Supervisor & Manitou Operator & Slinger/Signaller.
